Business Challenge

A large global multinational bank was keen to push the limits of its digital business by creating a cloud that would allow it to change the way it interacts with its customers, but also to help its bankers make good decisions.

 

Solution It was the 1st service in the world from a large global multinational bank which allowed it customers to store its precious information including digital documents and identity details which was protected digitally in place on the cloud (bCloud). In addition, it was a digital safety deposit box which customers could use wherever they were in the world, at any time, from any online/mobile devices such as tablet, iphone & androids or PC, providing a wide range of services, to all areas of the bank (Retail, business, corporate & investment), such as making payments, on-line share dealing, eCommerce & high transaction on-line commerce transactions & wealth management.    

 

Business Benefits  It transformed the way the bank worked, by introducing new business processes, a  reduction on time processing transactions, improving the customer experience, Improved end-to-end process standardisation and consistency; increased transparency and control thereby enabling the bank to make major cost savings of some £200m

Business Challenge

A major French financial institution needed to overcome several issues in their middle office: the business processes had to change to meet new legislation, the IT solution was unsupportable from the 3rd party vendor and had to integrate a new acquisition into the organisation

 

Solution FCL-UK had to deliver a system and supporting business process by reviewing all the various trade systems and business processes around credit risk, market data & pricing, the P/L operations, OTC derivatives, Swaps, Repos (CDS, CDX, IDS) and Swap options, as well as all the legal documentation, then upgrading them. In addition we had to introduce a new business workflow which included 4-eyes, and disputes process into the system and ensure that all outputs/data fed into all the new back office systems and business processes.  

Business Benefits  By ensuring that the middle office functions were ready to implement on schedule that the new systems and the new business change processes had been established, that all staff were trained, the accommodation was built and ready on time, that the business readiness tasks were planned and implemented it enabled the bank to make major cost savings of @$150m
